Message from the Senior Management Team

Newton International School believes in educating the whole learner. Having this holistic approach to teaching and learning, teachers and students support each other to achieve not only academic excellence, but also develop as strong social and emotional learners and citizens. Following the National Curriculum on England and Wales, the school provides its students with a high quality education in an International context.

Committed to quality education, the school has received full accreditation by the AdvancED accreditation board. The quality of education delivered is therefore constantly measured against international standards to ensure that the students receive the best quality of Teaching and Learning. In addition, Newton International School, D-Ring was one of the first schools in Qatar to receive candidacy for accreditation with QNSA.

At NIS we value the contribution and involvement of all our stakeholders. Parents, students and teachers all play an important part in the education of the students. We believe that this relationship is imperative to the educational success of our students and have developed a number of partnerships to support this vision.

The Teaching and Learning committee focuses on ensuring that our students receive their education based on current research and assessment. Having a strong focus on assessment for learning our students are able to evaluate their learning and set their individual targets and goals. The Pastoral committee ensures that student’s pastoral needs are supported. This dedicated group of teachers are also joined by our student counsellor and parent liaison officer as well as our onsite doctor. In addition, the school has an active student council and a board of school prefects. This helps our student develop their own leadership skills and create a sense of ownership in the school. Our Parent Teacher Association is always actively involved in the development of the school and supports both teachers and students through their involvement in the school and school events.

At Newton International School, we encourage the input of all our stakeholders and therefore always look forward to meeting our parents and caregivers.
